Seven on Sunday

So my girl friend does a "Five on Friday" for her blog but since Fridays tend to be a little crazy in The Scherpinski home and I am pretty sure a post would rarely get done, I decided to do a "Seven on Sunday." Seven thoughts for the day or the past week. (Thanks for the idea Kaysie!)

Here is goes..............

1) The DVR has been my savior these past 5 weeks. Thank God for the invention. I tape my shows during the day/night and then watch them when I am up with Jillian. It actually makes the feedings and middle of the night "parties" not too bad. I am oh so thankful for my DVR friend! Beware if it ever goes out on me!

2) Laundry on the other hand is not my friend. I have accepted the fact that it will be a part of my day to day routine but that doesn't mean I have to like it. We have a love/hate relationship. I hate it when it is dirty and in the basket and love it when it is clean and put away!
3) Date night! John and I went out last night for our "baby celebration" dinner. After Jordyn was born, John surprised me by taking me to Roy's on our first date night. I told him when I was about seven months pregnant with Jillian that I was already excited for the Roy's dinner. I guess he had no choice but to do it again hehe! It was such an amazing dinner, totally over priced and excessive but hey- we don't do it a lot. It was very relaxing!

4) I am so amazed how the simple smile from Jillian or the great big hug from Jordyn can brighten my day. It can seriously take me from tired and stressed to over the moon. My worries seem to disappear (even for a moment!). The girls are my world- I am one lucky mama!

5) John and I are blessed with amazing families and amazing friends. But what I have realized more and more over the last couple of years is that so many of our friends have become a part of our family. It is so comforting to know that our girls are surrounded with dozens of people that love them unconditionally.

6) Jordyn, Jillian and I had a sleep over in Gilroy on Friday night. I love times with my girls and my mom. We went shopping at the outlets, had dinner and my mom got up with Jillian during the night so I could catch up on sleep. All in all- a fantastic time!

7) Tomorrow I start a month of no sweets. I know- crazy!!! I did it after I had Jordyn, for two months, and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. The first week is the hardest but once I get through that then it is pretty easy! Needless to say: today I will be eating a lot of chocolate!!
