Double the Daughters, Double the Dollars

Well, I had my first taste of what it means to have two kids- two DAUGHTERS- while doing some Christmas shopping today.

John has been on business the past couple of days so the girls and I have enjoyed some quality time with family.

We spent all day yesterday with my mom and took the girls to Happy Hallow (I will post about that later on.)

This morning we drove up to spend some time with my Aunt and Uncle, my Godparents.

My Aunt and I started the day by taking the girls to the mall to get some Christmas shopping done. First stop- the Disney store. I got Jordyn some stuff for Christmas and at the same time bought some gifts for some family friends' children. That store is a dangerous place! Especially when your little one is currently obsessed with everything princess. She wanted every princess dress and every accessory to go with it. Between myself, her Grandmas, my aunt, other family members and Santa- her dream may become a reality!

After we left there, without making TOO much damage on the 'ol VISA, we went to get the girls their Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day outfits. I am not gonna lie- this was tough! I wanted them to match but not EXACTLY match. So I had to find the clothes I wanted and then make sure they had them in their sizes. Easier said than done. After some mixing and matching I found what I wanted and paid. By this point I was definitely making a dent in the bank account.

People always say girls cost way more than boys and while I am not sure I totally agree with this (all kids wants toys and all kids need clothes), I was given a brief look into the future today and I am not sure I liked what I saw. Haha, don't get me wrong- I can not wait to see the look on Jordyn's face come Christmas morning (good thing Jillian is a little young and doesn't know what is going on) and I can not wait to see them in their adorable outfits, but receiving the VISA bill in a couple of weeks will be hard to stomach.

Another reason why 2 may be better than 3!
