We woke up this morning and she was ecstatic for the day ahead. First mistake- not setting out her clothes the night before. Getting her dressed took forever and WAY more time than I had planned for the morning. After I finally got her dressed and she ate breakfast (the little that she did eat) we were off.
We arrived at preschool and John surprised her by showing up for her first day as well. She was so excited to see her "best buddy" at preschool.
We walked her inside and she acted as if she had been there many, many times. She walked up to her new cubby, hung up her jacket and backpack and off she went. She sat down next to a little girl she had never met before and started playing blocks.
In that moment I could not have been prouder. There she was. My little girl (not yet 3) so confident and independent. It is moments like these that you know as a parent you have done something right.
I went back to pick her up and no surprise- she did not want to leave. I had to convince her that we would be back on Thursday to do it all again. The teacher said she had a great first day and off we went.
John and I took her to lunch to celebrate her "First Day of Preschool" and of course she chose "Tico's Tacos" (again so proud!).
All in all it was a great day. Another first for our sweet girl. Another first of many to come.

| Her backpack is bigger than her haha! |
| After her exciting day. She was so happy to be back home with Jillian. |
