Things are going fantastic in the Scherpinski home but we have been a tad busy lately. Between my new job and John's business travels I feel like we have yet to slow down these past few weeks.
First thing to catch up on: my new job!
I am so darn happy with my job! I love the people I work with. They are fun and easy going. It is definitely a great environment to spend my day in. I am learning more and more each day and can't wait to expand my knowledge on the industry. Most importantly, I love the flexibility. I have never been against working after having kids, I was just scared about how I would do it all. Work. Maintain a household. Spend time with my kids. Spend time with my husband. Take care of myself. How would I do it all? Well, with this job- so far I am doing it. I am currently working part time (3 days a week) and I LOVE it. I am able to work and spend time with my kids. And on my days off I can get the house work done and therefore the weekends aren't so chaotic trying to catch up on everything that was put aside Monday-Friday. I will keep you posted on this new adventure!
Next: my growing baby!
So my little Jillian is growing and changing every day. She is officially crawling and talking more and more each day. She says "mama" and I am pretty sure has said "dada" once or twice. Her babbles are becoming more frequent and are a nice addition to the noise in our home. I took her to the doctor this morning for a cough and she is gaining weight which is fantastic. She is my long and lean machine. Even when she is sick she is still the happiest girl I know. Nothing gets her down. Her sleep has been a little hit or miss these past few weeks but I just tell myself that eventually she will sleep. Jordyn was an awful sleeper and we survived her. Right? :)
Jillian has also adjusted very nicely to daycare. She is doing better each day. I am so happy that she is getting this fabulous experience that Jordyn benefited so much from.

| And she LOVES food even more. It is so nice to have an easy eater. Dinner time is a breeze. |

| Thank goodness for that hat. Her baby blues are very sensitive to the sun (like her mama!). |
And now: my sweet Jordyn!
Jordyn is changing with each passing day. She is loving preschool and comes home each day with stories of her adventures. It is definitely been an adjustment for her but a good one I think. She is adjusting to the structure and the rules of school. We have teacher conferences coming up and I am looking forward to hearing what they have to say. She seems to be learning more and more each week and it is exciting to listen to the knowledge that she is bringing home. She is so proud of herself and John and I couldn't be more thrilled.
We are definitely having hard days now and then when she decides to "turn her ears off" but I am tackling these days as they come. This too shall pass.......maybe. Hehe.

Let's see. What else?
This weekend I am going to VEGAS! I am looking forward to spending some time with my college girlies and relaxing in the sun. (PRAYING there is sun!). We are celebrating the bachelorette weekend of my bride-to-be Dana. We had her Bridal Shower a week ago and it was a blast! I CAN NOT wait for her special day!
Bride (in blue) and her ladies (minus Cass!). |
I will try my best to post more often. Now that we are getting some sort of a routine around here things should get back to normal (hopefully!).
